Pediatric Surgery
Pediatric General Surgery comprises four full-time positions for surgeons with subspecialty training, providing general surgical services for neonates, infants, and children up to and including 16 years of age. While primarily based at Children’s Hospital of Winnipeg, Pediatric General Surgical Services are provided to St. Boniface General Hospital. The expertise is broad and includes surgical procedures for congenital neonatal anomalies and conditions, elective and emergent thoracic and abdominal conditions, trauma, head and neck anomalies/lesions, including thyroid diseases, airway and gastrointestinal endoscopy and soft tissue anomalies and lesions. Minimally invasive thoracic and abdominal surgical procedures are performed in addition to traditional open surgical approaches. [more]
